Local Mission Project:

The next official Labor of Love Day to provided free labor to needy families in Greenwood County is scheduled for Saturday, March 27, 2010.  This will be our third time to provide free labor.

 

There are still some ongoing projects left from the previous sites that offers opportunities for ministry.

 

World Changers

 

June 21 – 26, 2010

 

Location: Birmingham, Alabama

 

Types of Work :  Home Renovations

Who can go:

  • Youth (7th grade & up)
  • Adult Chaperones

Early Registration is necessary

 All ages Mission Trip (families, etc.)

Ministry to children in a poverty area.

Afterglow

A youth afterglow is planned each month for our youth in grades 7 - 12.  This is normally on the second Sunday of the month and is held in church families homes.

Laurel Baptist Youth Ministry is on facebook.  It is a group setting.  All youth or interested persons can keep up with Youth happenings very fast by joining this group.

Lunch at Nagoya's

All youth grades 7 - 12+ are invited to join us at Nagoya's for lunch after the AM service on January 24.  Each person is responsible for their own meal.

Band Concert

A Band Concert will be held on Saturday, February 27 as a fund-raiser to benefit our Youth Ministry.  Concert time is 6:00 and cost is $5.00 donation at the door.
