Our Labor of Love Ministry provides free labor to those that cannot physically do the work or financially pay someone for the labor.  Our next Labor Of Love day is scheduled for Saturday, March 27.  Applications are taken at any time, but the deadline to be considered for this day is March 1.

Laurel Baptist Church supports the Greater Greenwood United Ministries.  By giving to this ministry we can refer needy families to get help with food, utility assistance and other needs.

In addition to financial support, we collect non-perishable food each week to give to the food pantry for this ministry.

Laurel Baptist has adopted Oakland School.  Oakland is the closest school to our church.  We work with the social worker at the school to help meet the needs of the students and teachers.  We give out school supplies to the children in the community prior to the beginning of the school year.

Christmas gifts are provided for under-priviledged children attending Oakland.  When other needs arise, we are willing to help.
